It’s been wonderful to see such strong attendance at services and events in recent weeks — from New Member Shabbat in early May to our best-ever Pride Shabbat in June. And just last weekend, while synagogues across Israel were empty due to the threat of attack, it was heartening to see our sanctuary full for Max and Maggie Spiegel’s B’nai Mitzvah.
The even better news? Our community isn’t just showing up — we’re stepping up. Since I last wrote to you, members have suggested potential rabbinic candidates, volunteered to serve on the search committee, and continued to lead Torah study and give divrei Torah.
Now we’re looking for a few more hands to help with two exciting projects:
Visiting Scholars: We’ll be bringing in rabbis and teachers throughout the year. Help us choose our guests and make their visits a success.
Annual Concert: This year’s theme is Jewish Music of Broadway — a celebration you can help shape alongside Cantor Green.
If either (or both!) of these speak to you, just reply to this message or call the office. You can be part of what’s next for KBI. And we’d love to have you involved.
