Moving Forward: Leadership for our Rabbi Search

One of the most important tasks in the coming year at KBI will be finding the right rabbi to lead and inspire our community. I’m writing today to share some encouraging progress.

I’m very pleased to let you know that Jon Mitzmacher and Arryn Mills have agreed to serve as co-chairs of our Rabbi Search Committee.

Both Jon and Arryn bring valuable experience and insights to this role. Even more importantly, they bring deep dedication, steady leadership, and a strong commitment to KBI’s future. We’re fortunate to have them taking on this responsibility.

As co-chairs, they will be organizing and overseeing the search process to ensure it reflects the values and aspirations of our congregation. The final hiring decision will be made by the Board, following broad consultation with the congregation.

Over the summer, Jon and Arryn will assemble the complete Search Committee. Once that group is in place, their first order of business will be to hear from you. You can expect a town hall meeting in September to begin that conversation.

In the weeks ahead, Jon and Arryn will share more details about the search process and how you can get involved.

In the meantime, please join me in thanking them for taking on this crucial work on behalf of all of us.

Be well,

Jeremy Rudin
