Our Curriculum

With a focus on Judaism as a religion on Sundays and Judaism as a people on Tuesdays, our children will complete the program with the benefits of Hebrew learning, a connection to Israel and Jewish history, and a love for Torah and the Jewish people.

Judaic Curriculum

OTT uses the Etgar curriculum. This program was created by the Melton Research Center of the Jewish Theological Seminary. The Etgar program engages students through active learning, meaningful Judaic content, and deep personal reflection. Etgar schools throughout the country create a positive, productive Jewish learning experience. For more information on the Etgar curriculum please visit https://www.jewisheducators.org/projects/

Hebrew Curriculum

Our Hebrew curriculum is comprised of a variety of different textbooks and resources provided by Behrman House. We understand that many of our students join us with different levels of Hebrew learning. We are happy to meet students where they are and provide supplementary material based on your child’s individual needs. Our learning goals are as follows:

Learn Hebrew letters and their sounds. Introduce keywords and core oral vocabulary through a variety of imaginative, fun-filled exercises.

Confident in Hebrew letters and vowels. Reinforce concepts and vocabulary as well as, learn common blessings.

Learn basic conversational Hebrew and basic vocabulary for Jewish holidays – learn prayer with understanding and reading fluency

B’nai Mitzvah Program

OTT@KBI students have the opportunity to benefit from the amazing clergy that Kehillat Beth Israel has. On Tuesdays, our students will learn together with Cantor Green the components most essential for their B’nai Mitzvah to provide them with tools to thrive when the big day arrives
