Kehillat Beth Israel is a vibrant, welcoming, and egalitarian Conservative synagogue serving the Ottawa-Gatineau region. We’re a community that celebrates diversity and belonging, where all ages, identities, and backgrounds come together through meaningful prayer, learning, and connection.
We live our values through Tikkun Olam, Torah study, Jewish literacy, and inspiring communal life. Whether you’re a lifelong member of the Jewish community, new to synagogue life, or somewhere in between, there’s a place for you here.

Membership fees are used to support the maintenance of the building, programming, salaries, and other financial requirements for operating a synagogue. The categories of membership are listed below. We believe that finances should not be a barrier to joining KBI. Our objective is to find a way to make membership feasible for any prospective member. If you are considering applying for membership, and the fee structure is of concern to you, please contact the Executive Director to confidentially discuss options which will suit your situation.
